Eclipse season

Bring light into the darkness

Light cannot exist with there being darkness. It’s like Yin and Yang, the Sun and the Moon, Love and Fear. All exists in perfect balance.

But sometimes, the one is more on the forefront than the other. And that’s okay too! As long as there is balance in the end.

Sweet, sweet balance between dark and light.

YOUR SHADOW SELF WANTS TO BE SEEN

But sometimes? When the dark feel too overpowering? It’s the perfect sign for you to dive inwards and see what it wants to show you. A gorgeous sign for you to move into those deep, dark crevices and shine your glorious light on what needs to be seen. What wants to be seen!

Because all that’s in the dark, was never meant to stay hidden in the dark. It really is the same as with a full moon. A full moon shines a light on everything that’s hidden in the dark, your shadow self, as it brings out the things that no longer serve you. It actually shows you your shadow self.

But here’s the thing!

You can be your own full moon, as you shine a light on those dark places. Your shadows, the things you’re afraid of, your insecurities, anger, rage, envy, selfishness and even greed. All of these emotions from your own dark side.

Now, I know there’s people out there who’ll tell you to only think “love & light”, “Good vibes only” and all of that.

Sure, that’s sooo freaking important! It keeps your frequency high, making it much easier to attract good things into your life.

But as said before, light cannot exist without the dark. You are made up of both light and dark. Only focussing on those positive thoughts and feelings, is a telltale sign that you are skipping out on something BIG here….

Your own dark side

It needs to be looked in the eye. You can’t act as if it’s not there, because that’s not the way this works.

Look it in the eye, sit with it and do some shadow work around it so that more light can leak in, into that dark side of yourself.

This is what I ❤ doing! Shining a light on the darkness, because – once you’ve seen it – the dark side isn’t that scary at all. It’s just the thought of it that’s scary, kind of like those monsters under your bed that aren’t even there.

ECLIPSE SEASON & YOUR DARK SIDE

About the 2021 eclipses

On May 26, 2021 we enter a very interesting new cycle – an eclipse season – that starts with a Total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon) in Sagittarius. This eclipse season is then followed by a partial solar eclipse on June 10, 2021.

Later on in this year, the second eclipse season starts with a penumbral lunar eclipse on November 18-19, 2021, and a total solar eclipse on December 4, 2021.

Eclipses are quite rare, as they can only take place when the Sun, the Earth and the Moon are all perfectly aligned. Fun fact: eclipses always happen in groups of two or three. A lunar eclipse happens when the Moon and the Sun are on exact opposite sides of Earth. There are four to seven eclipses every calendar year. Typically, there are two eclipse seasons just as we have this year.

Spiritual meaning of an eclipse

Just as each moon phase, an eclipse also has a very deep spiritual meaning. We are all moved by the energy of the moon (and the sun too), making it obvious that an entire eclipse season also has an impact on every living being on this planet.

The Moon does not have its own light but shines because its surface reflects the Sun’s rays. During a lunar eclipse, the sun, Earth and Moon are in complete alignment. This way, Earth blocks light from the sun. During a lunar eclipse, Earth actually casts a shadow over the Moon. It gets in the way of the Sun’s light hitting the Moon. That means that during the night, a full moon fades away as Earth’s shadow covers it up.

A lunar eclipse brings your unconscious feelings to the surface, basically showing you your shadow self. This is all happening FOR YOU! It shows you very clearly what’s hidden in the dark, so that you can let go of anything that no longer serves you. Energies, emotions, attachments, beliefs; just let it go with the power of the lunar eclipse.

Whereas a full moon is already a powerful tool for letting go of anything that no longer serves you and your highest good, a lunar eclipse can be seen as some extra help in doing so. A perfect moment to look within and see what you want to let go of. And in most cases, you don’t have to do a lot of digging within yourself to see what things are ready to be set free. Thanks to this lunar moon eclipse magic, it will all be shown to you. All you have to do, is be willing to look at your thoughts honestly.

Also, there’s no rush in doing so. You have plenty of time for some shadow work, as the energetic cycle of a lunar eclipse tends to extend through a period of three months after its event. The perfect time to leave your comfort zone and grow into a higher version of yourself.

How to do shadow work?

A lunar eclipse is THE PERFECT MOMENT to do some shadow work. In fact, it will make the transition to a higher, better version of yourself a lot more smooth. You can’t move into a higher version of yourself, while holding on to things that no longer serve you. And since that’s exactly what a lunar eclipse shows you, just take your time to dive in and do the work. Why waste this powerful Universal help, right?!
