Are We Sick, or Disconnected from Nature and our True Self?

In today’s fast-paced world, where stress, anxiety, and chronic illness seem almost ubiquitous, many of us are searching for answers. We’ve been taught to look to modern medicine, technology, and even productivity hacks to solve our problems. But what if the root cause of much of our suffering isn’t something we can fix with a pill or a gadget? What if, instead, we need to look backward—to a time when our lives were more closely connected to nature?

The Quote That Sparked a Revelation:
I recently came across a quote that resonated deeply with me:

Maybe we are depressed, sick, and anxious because we have been ripped out of nature and thrust into artificial worlds with fake food, blue light, synthetic drugs, and BS jobs. Maybe we’re not sick. Maybe we’re just trying to fit into a reality that we aren’t meant to live in. Maybe the answer is simply returning to nature.

This quote encapsulates a truth that many of us instinctively feel but rarely articulate. Our modern lives, filled with artificial light, processed food, and stressful jobs, have pulled us away from the natural world. And in doing so, we’ve lost touch with something fundamental to our well-being.

The Importance of Gut Health:
